Why does Minecraft not work for me (Macbook pro)?

I get Minecraft in about 3 days, I have already downloaded the demo version to see how it is on my laptop (MacBook Pro). I also connected a mouse that also works, but when I wanted to play I had to spam the mouse click on everything I wanted to press. With Minecraft it is actually so that you can't see your mouse arrow, but with me the mouse was there all the time and the problem was that the mouse moved faster than I could turn around in minecraft! Does anyone happen to know an answer how I can solve this?

Which demo? The pcgames demo? This is already a few years old and has hardly anything to do with the current version.
