Minecraft Bedrock Nautilus Shell has programming errors?

I (Minecraft Bedrock, Win10 player) noticed that you can put the nautilus shells in the second hand. I've already looked for why that's so, but haven't found anything. So I'll just turn to you guys.

How is that possible? Programming error or does it make sense (which I don't (yet) know?)

was probably just overlooked by mojang.

It is a wanted function, but of no use to the player himself. The background is probably the drowned people who always have the nautical shells in their second hand when they spawn and who seem to share some model data with the player.

Well, even the best make mistakes, I thought there was something I didn't know about the parts XD
