I was just wondering if it is really worth doing protection 4 on every cupid part. On the Minecraft wiki something is written with an Enchantment Protection Factor (EPF) which I do not understand 100%. Do you have any idea or a calculation for how this is really most effective? Maybe 4 times protection does not change the damage as much as 3 times protection or so. Would be nice if you know something

In short:
4x Protection IV is worth it.
But if you need 100% protection from creepers or from lava, then you should enchant ONE part of your armor with that enchantment (e.g. Fire protection IV) and the three remaining parts with protection 4. Note that you then go through all the rest Sources of damage take a little more damage than with 4x Protection IV. Only against this one (e.g. Lava damage) are you 100% protected.
