How can you play the very first version of Minecraft?
You can download HI from the Internet and then simply put it in the folder for the other versions. Just enter the oldest version of Minecraft Download.
The oldest version ever released (there were a few versions before) is version rd-132211. To download, you must first allow old versions in the Minecraft launcher by clicking on "Historical" in the installations.
How do you add them to the other versions? So I have to go to the ".minecraft" folder, and then?

I can do that in the launcher too
Click on installations in the launcher
then activate the "Historical" checkbox at the top right
then left on New… Click
Then you can select version rd-132211 at the bottom
I think you have to put them in a folder with the json file and then drag them to the version folder. Json:
