Badlion client without Java version (in Minecraft)?

So today I bought a Microsoft Store card for 25 euro because I wanted to buy Minecraft to play with friends.
the thing is they all have the java version and play badlion client and for some reason you can't buy the java version on Minecraft Store. My question is whether I can still play badlion client without the Java version, my friends said that maybe it won't work.

Is it really not possible? So do I need the Java version for Badlion Client?

You need the Java version because you have to register in the BAC with your Java account there.

Minecraft Java Edition is not available in the Microsoft Store.

And since the Badlion Client is a modification for the Java Edition, you can't use it without the Java Edition.

Well, unfortunately I have already invested 25 euro in the Microsoft Store card…

You can't do anything about it.
