Minecraft: cat attacks rabbits?

I have a pet cat in Minecraft and a lot of rabbits on my island. I like both of them very much. The problem is that the cat always kills rabbits. My question is, is there any way to cheat so that the cat doesn't attack my rabbits anymore?

Put the cat somewhere where it won't get to the rabbits.

Then you have to tame the cat with a fish

you can maybe use some tyep of mob(I mean the ones you dowload) or maybe commanda to stop it
