How do I play Minecraft?

Yeah that sounds pretty stupid, but it's true. I don't understand how to play Minecraft. So I'm told you could fight a dragon and many other great things. But apart from building I haven't been able to discover anything else.

A friend said I should start looking for wood and then he showed me how I could make a weapon out of it. And what now? Am I just constantly destroying blocks to collect material?

Apart from greenery and forest, I don't see anything… Ask for tips and tricks.

Survival mode?

Build yourself a place to stay, look for food, build a farm and mine.

You need stones, coal for fire or torches in the tunnel, etc. Etc.

There are endless videos on YouTube, just take a look at videos from different areas. Now to answer in writing here, what everything is possible, nobody would want to write or read. In principle, almost anything that can be done on a computer is possible.

The best thing to do is to look around on YouTube, there you will find inspiration.

But if you want something with more "action", I would recommend Terraria… In my opinion, much better than Minecraft, there are countless bosses, weapons, materials, opponents etc. Etc.

Check out speedruns in Minecraft. They try to play it through as quickly as possible. There you can see how to get into the Nether, quickly find diamonds, iron, etc. And in the end, of course, defeated the dragon. In Minecraft it's only about one… In Minecraft there's no winner and no loser, you build something and something comes and breaks everything and then you can rebuild everything or start over.

Minecraft is really just about putting one block on top of the other and some can do that well and some less.

It depends on what you play, if you play to survive then you have to build or find every object yourself, in creative you have everything and can build everything infinitely.

So if you play survival you need wood first, with wood you build a workbench and at the workbench you can build many things yourself. First you cut down trees and then you build yourself a tool, preferably an (ax) and with the ax you can cut trees faster, if you have a bit of wood you can cut stones and make a tool out of stone, etc.

It's not about more, in Minecraft you are just creative and finish one block on top of the other.
