I have the problem that my picture lags (or lies) when I want to record Minecraft with OBS. I have the following settings:
Output:
Encoder: NVIDIA NVENC H.264
Quality regulation method: CBR
Bit rate: 60000Kbps
(the rest standard)
Video:
Base: 2560x1440
Edition: 2560x1440
Scaling filter: Lanczo's 36 stitch samples
FPS: 60
I have an NVIADIA gtx 1050 TI graphics card
and an Intel Pentium processor.
What are the right settings now so that it no longer lies?
The bit rate is the problem, right.
Yes, just try to slow down the bit rate in small steps
What would be a small step?
Do 500 steps
And what should I put in there now? Do you have an idea?
I'm unsure, maybe 80.
Is a bit better anyway
60000kbps is an unnecessarily high bit rate for a 2k video.
Try 30000kbps. Then the quality is still more than high enough so that you can see no difference from the original. If that's not enough, start with 20,000 and work your way down slowly from there until it fits.
Then more. What is the maximum?
Thanks 20k are already very good. It's still a bit jerky, but it's a good approach.
Then go further down. But at 20mbit is about the normalization of 2k video. If you go further down now compression artifacts can occur. At 16mbit, these should also slowly become visible.
Everything does not work it always jerky. Have now tried so much between 30 and 20k.
As I said, if it jerky you have to keep going down.
So I went from 30,000kbps in 500 steps down to 0 and it always jerked.
What kind of frame render times do you have?
Where do I see that?
Do you mean FPS? I have 60 to stand there
Under View> Docks> Statistics you get a statistics window which shows you how long OBS renders per frame and how many frames are dropped.
And where does it stand, view ''?
In the main window (where you can also set the preview, scenes, sources, etc.) you have a bar at the top with file, edit and also view.
OK. It says average frame rendering time: 0.8ms
What if you start recording?
Even 0.6ms
Hmm, then he actually renders quickly enough. Can you possibly create and upload a short example video (YouTube not listed or something) in which you can see the problem?
OK, I don't know what these stutters come from.
