Minecraft Railcraft 1.12?

There used to be pipes to transfer steam into machines. How does that work in 1.12? Find no pipes there.

Do you mean rails?

I mean the things I can clap on machines that produce steam in order to transport the steam into machines that need it to run

So as far as transport is concerned: you can put items in a goods cart or in a cart with an oven (don't know what it's called) and then you have to put the cart on rails and toast it. I can't tell you more.
