Minecraft on 2 IOS devices, bought only once, is that possible?

Hi. I like downloading Minecraft on my IOS phone, my brother wants to download it too, but on his IOS iPad, so we can play together. In the App Store on the iPad and on my phone the same Apple ID is logged in, this means that if I now get Minecraft on my phone, that I can then restore the purchase on the iPad, so I have to buy Minecraft only once, but it can still play on two devices or I have to buy it one by one so twice to play with my brother?
