Minecraft giant spruce without podsol?

Is it possible to make a giant spruce without the earth turning into Podsol?

Yes, by building a clock that permanently replaces all Podsol with grass via command block.

That is rather bad for me. Would like other rules. Can't you disable that with a one-time command or something?

There's certainly no special command for this. The only "one-time" solution I can think of is to set the / gamerule randomtickspeed to 0 so that no ticks are updated. Then trees will no longer grow by themselves, only through bone meal.
