Why can't I sign in to Minecraft and not reset my password?

I just wanted to play minecraft but I was not logged in, I logged in and the password did not work, I pressed the password button pressed down my email and I went on the emails but I was even after 4 hours no email cleverly. Was I maybe hacked?
