Whenever I see any speed runs in various games (Minecraft and GTA), there's always [Name]%. So far I have Any% in Minecraft and GTA Classic% (And with DarkViperAU still Pacifist%, but I would not declare that as a Speedrun).
So… Could someone explain to me what this% is all about and if you want, introduce me in the form of a few sentences into, especially GTA, speed running?

Any% stands for "Any percentage of completion", it means it doesn't matter how much of the game you play, the main thing is that you complete it.
For example, there are old games where you would have to play through all levels to win it, but with bugs you can warp to the last level. Then you have vlt. 5% of game played, but completed it. That's what Any% stands for.
So for example in Minecraft, the main thing is to defeat the Ender dragon, whether I'm building a nether portal with a diamond pickaxe or with lava water technology?

I've never heard Classic% - seems to be a special term for GTAV speed runs.
