I'm not familiar with Minecraft and would like to download the app for 7.99 euro from the AppStore for the mobile phone and for the iPad. Therefore I wonder if I can have all the functions in the app that others have on the PC.
If I can't do something, it's not too tragic.
However, it is important to me to play with others who play it on the PC.

Can I use the app to play in multiplayer with friends who play Minecraft on PC?

With the Bedrock Edition from the Windows Store: YES
If they play the Bedrock Edition from the Windows 10 Store on the PC then you can play together.
However, if you play the Java Edition on the PC, you can't play along.
Yes you can use all functions but only join on Handy Server and when you create a world others can join on a console or on the Handy
