My phone is normal, but when I press play in Minecraft, my screen hangs.

What are your settings regarding graphics? How is your device equipped? RAM, video card, processor operating system etc…
Everything is completely normal
Since you would have to come into the settings before you have to press "play", right?
Set the visibility (in chunks) to very low. Has at least helped me on iOS at Minecraft, when it did not go right.

IOS is not the same as iOS. Which version is it? IOS 10 or 12? There are very big differences. What kind of processor do you have, which one is the card, how much RAM do you have? Can you put all the controls in the graphics settings down completely? Is it then?
