IC2 cables and machines do not explode when overloaded?

I used to play Minecraft with Industrialcraft and if I connected an MFSU to a 32 EU / T cable and kp a Matter producer then the cable exploded or a small machine like an electric oven. Now I play again in the 1.7.10 with IC2e and it explodes except my nuclear reactor for lack of cooling garnix more. Can I adjust this somewhere in ner config or something?

As far as I know gabs did not explode in 1.7.10 because it was complained about it. However, it was added later, +1.8, again optional. For 1.7.10 gabs the explode machines but with Greg Tech, which is basically just IC2 with heavier recipes.

On the one hand I wanted to use the abel as "fuses", and if you pay attention does not actually explode XD
