OBS too big files?

I record with OBS in 48 FPS and FullHD Minecraft. Whether in full screen or not.

The whole thing for a minute and out came a 90 MB file. That's not normal? A friend also recorded one minute in 60 FPS and came out 19MB.

How can that be? I tried to render that, but then the file got even bigger. Then she climbed to 100 MB.

Does somebody has any idea? Reinstall I've already tried.

The FPS have little to do with the file size, but the resolution & especially the quality. The higher this, the higher the file.

The raw material is properly rendered rather smaller or consistent.
Bigger only if wrong settings are set or the raw material is drilled out & a full HD recording is a 4K recording to be.

For example, one of my OBS recordings is 18 minutes
at 1920x1080 @ 60 FPS and a bitrate of 35,000 kbps -> 4.43 GB in size.
After rendering around the 3 GB.

One should also not forget that when uploading to YT the video is encoded YET by another, which makes the quality possibly worse again.

Okay thanks. Thought with FPS more pictures per second so more memory is needed.

I picked out a random video from Minecraft.

The size of YouTube is 213 MB for just under 13 minutes in FullHD and 60FPS. If I were to record that, would it surely be 2-3 GB?

Does YT burn that down so much, or can it be so "bad" with various programs that the file gets so small? The quality of the video is still very good.

You have 2 options.

Upload the raw material unprocessed to YT
… Or what you normally do: You render the raw material "YT ready" with a cutting program, cut it, adapt it, render it in appropriate quality

Are videos because you see it more and sometimes less.

Alright, thank you.
