Many people use a broken mouse or buy a special one in order to trigger faster, so you can create several clicks per second. There are programs for this. May also be due to the new combat system, I only played Minecraft on PS3 and now on PC and the system has probably changed, now you have to sprint and trigger at the same time, when I understood that I was fine. Back then you could hold down the Ps3 and you just had to land the first hit and aim, then the win was always safe.
