Minecraft Windows 10 Edition free if Java Edition?

I heard that you can unlock the Windows 10 Edition for free if you have the Java Edition. Unfortunately I do not receive a gift code when I log on to the Mojang website, does anyone know what the problem is?

I know the Java Edition is better, but I find it interesting to try other versions of Minecraft, especially if you should be able to unlock them for free.

Yes, that's right that you get a free code when you buy the Java version. However, you have to buy the Java version before the Win10 Edition is released.
