When I wanted to play the new snapshots for 1.17 yesterday (21w06a) I realized that something was wrong because when I pressed 'Play' in the launcher, nothing happened. At first I just thought: " Probably just because of the version, let's start the latest snapshot (21w11a) ", the strange thing is, it worked flawlessly. Then I went to the versions and reinstalled the 21w06a. It didn't work. That was a little surprising, but when I tried to start older snapshots, like 21w05a or 20w51a, they didn't work either, but even more astonished, was the fact that the 20w14 ~ (infinte) went? I thought that Minecraft might be a problem had to start older versions, no, that was wrong too, 1.8.7 and 1.14, for example, worked.
So now I'm here and ask: "Why do the normal MC versions and a few snapshots work, but most of the snapshots don't?
Even with me some Snapshpts don't work. This is normal, as these are just "tests" that are not necessarily playable, i.e. Snapshots of the game.
Wait until the release comes out or, with older versions, just play the release.
That's a shame because we actually have a server that runs on the 21w06a
Snapshots are not suitable for productive use because they contain errors.
