When I want to download the Java edition of Minecraft on the PC in the Minecraft Launcher, something always comes up:
File could not be downloaded.

Can someone help me there?
Looks like the file already exists and the launcher can't handle it. Try to start the launcher as an admin. If it still doesn't work, you have to go to this folder:
C: \ Users \ Jan \ AppData \ Roaming \ .minecraft \ assets \ objects \ 37 \
There you rename the file or folder:
375abd6e20eaad5744b61f6406487d9b20b754fb
just write _old or _old in front of it.
Then try again. Now it should actually work. If it works, you can theoretically delete the renamed file. You can also just leave it there if something doesn't work, but you won't find out until later.
