Hi. I bought the Java version of Minecraft on the official Minecraft website two days ago. When I tried to download and open it, I got an error message:

Downloading: https://s3.amazonaws.com/....pack.lzma

Exception: javax.net.ssl.SSLException: java.lang.RuntimeException: Unexpected error: java.security.InvalidAlgorithmParameterException: the trustAnchors parameter must be non-empty

Unable to download remote file. Check your internet connection / proxy settings.

FATAL ERROR: net.minecraft.bootstrap.FatalBootstrapError: Unable to download while being forced

Please fix the error and restart.

The error message is of course a bit longer, but I have copied the most important here. I don't know what to do. Can someone help me?

Re

From which side did you download this?

Because this download definitely does not belong to the original page. No idea where you "bought" the game from, but this site was probably a scam.

This is the original link from minecraft.net:

https://launcher.mojang.com/...taller.msi

Pe

The first page I saw when I typed "Buy Minecraft". Believe me, the site was legit.

Re

If it wasn't minecraft.net then it wasn't.

Pe

I've already noticed that some other people have had this problem, but haven't found a solution.

Pe

It was exactly this side https://www.minecraft.net/...minecraft… I strongly believe that it is the right one.

Re

But if you bought it from there, https://launcher.mojang.com/...taller.msi is the right download link. The other belongs to an Amazon fake.

Pe

So I downloaded a fake? From the official Minecraft website?

Re

Otherwise I don't know how you got an "Amazonaws" link. So something can't be right. Just use the link I posted here.

And if you don't trust me, you can also enter "minecraft java download" in Google search and come to the very top of the same page.

Pe

I already trust you I'll give it a try

I also believe that it wasn't the right side of Mojang. There's only one and not two.

Have you installed JAVA and an internet connection? Or are you sitting behind a proxy that is blocking the connection?

The entire error message would be an advantage. Excerpts are usually not helpful for answering.

Pe

Is there a way to add a screenshot? Because if I copied the whole error message into it, the text would be too long…

Sy

Upload the file to pastebin, that's easiest
