I play the latest Java edition in single player survival mode right in Minecraft. Unfortunately, the nether portals don't work because when I use fire with a lighter, nothing happens except that it only burns on blocks.
I haven't downloaded a server and don't really want to join an external one. Now I've seen that you have to set allow.nether to true. But since everything is meant on the multiplayer server, I wonder if the server.properties file is not installed somewhere for the launcher. If so, where can I find the file?
Server.properties are only available on servers. The single game is local on your computer. Did you use obsidian? Build it 4 blocks high and 2 blocks wide and then light the portal.
The server.properties file is only available for servers. The portal must consist of 100% normal obsidian and be 4x5 blocks in size.
It's 3x4 blocks high, so one character just fits in.
* 5 blocks high and 4 wide
It needs to be 2 taller and 1 wider.
* 1 higher and 1 wider.
Thanks, now works.
