Double spacebar should go for normal → check the keyboard layout in the settings again, something is wrong.
Emergency solution 1: press shift until you are on the ground
Workaround 2: / gamemode survival
Workaround 3: Relog (login again) sometimes works

Maybe your spacebar is broken, so you can't double tap this key? So I mean that double-tapping the spacebar on your PC will only be recognized as tapping the spacebar.
