So I just wanted to play wd mc but had to download it again and whenever I go to Minecraft it says I have to buy it again even though I'm logged in with my old account.

You have to log in at the top left!
At the top left on player and then something has to be registered.
So if you have logged in to the Mojang site, you should be able to download and install the client there. You then have to log in to the client again and should then be able to install your desired version.

You can of course only buy Minecraft once per account. First download the launcher and then log in there. Of course, you shouldn't confuse the Java version with the Bedrock version.
If you have downloaded and installed the launcher, you have to log in with your e-mail address and username, only then can you go into multiplayer mode.
If you see cryptic characters in the email field, click "go back" and try again. You may have to migrate your old Minecraft account to a Mojang account first. But everything is on the minecraft.net website.
