I don't think it's good that you bought Minecraft Java Edition with a Mojang account and recently you can also play it with a Microsoft account and I think it's outrageous that you can buy Minecraft Java Edition SPECIALLY for a Microsoft account that you have linked. I won't buy Minecraft again so I can play with Microsoft Account, no thanks, I won't buy it again for almost 25 euro. I stay and will stay on Mojang account until you don't have to buy it again, just plain outrageous.

If I have misunderstood something, please tell me, but when I select my Microsoft account in the Minecraft Launcher it asks me to buy Minecraft Java Edition for the Microsoft account.

Buying through Mojang is much better anyway. Microsoft Store doesn't have any good games other than Forza Horizon. I also bought Minecraft from Mojang. You did the right thing.
