Where can you find sugarcane in minecraft? Because I need it to make paper.

Often in waters, mostly in desert areas.

Mostly on sand at the water

But I built a big house and there's a lot of sand nearby. But there's no water at all. What should i do then?

This is of course stupid… If you have a bucket of water and a piece of sugar cane, then you can pull you almost new sugarcane. It takes a bit but it works.
