I have an 8gb ram vps server and run Minecraft on a Linux distribution and wanted to ask if it is ok with 8gb vps and a minecraft server with a big modpack?

Are the server settings ok

2 GB is enough for Linux + Minecraft.

Why do you always overdo everything with the RAM on Linux? This is not a windows.
