How can it be that Minecraft Shader Mod runs better under GTX 1050 Ti than with AMD RX580?

So my friend bought almost exactly the same PC (except RAM) as mine.

So our PC has:

So mine and his PC has Intel Xeon CPU E31230 3.20GHZ

Mine has 8GB DDR3 Ram and its 24GB SD Ram

His PC has 1TB HDD and I have 500GB SSD + 4TB HDD

So then to the graphics card: His graphics card is GTX 1050 Ti and my AMD RX580

So we tried Minecraft with Shader Mod, and there we went into the lobby, and the PC with GTX 1050 Ti with 24GB SD Ram reached between 23FPS and almost 40FPS for the shader. I reach my PC with RX580 graphics card and 8GB DDR3 Ram between 13 and 19FPS.

And at Normal Welt his PC with GTX 1050 Ti and 24GB SD Ram mostly reaches around 100FPS, but mine between 30FPS and 80FPS, I rarely reach 100FPS there.

How can that be? My RX580 is 256bit and has 8GB working memory and its GTX 1050 Ti has 4GB graphics memory and 128bit and yet Shader Mod runs much better with it than with me. How can that be?

Is AMD graphics card really that bad for Minecraft?

Can be due to drivers, but it can also be because shaders need a lot of memory and at 8 you are the weaker one.

Then how much ram should I use? I mean Minecraft doesn't even use half the RAM.

tr

As I said, it can be due to the RAM, but it can also be due to drivers that the AMD graphics cards were simply not optimized so well to play this mod. Try to update your drivers, it doesn't do that automatically, because I have an RX 590

Sa

Have you allocated more RAM to Minecraft?

Ju

I even upgraded soggar by 4 GB ram = no difference.

What are your temperatures like? If the PC is exactly the same, i.e. The same speed of RAM. Does your RAM run in dual-channel?
