Root server How much performance?

I would like to rent a root server. A Minecraft and Ts3 server should be running on the root server. Now my question is how much power does the root server need that the servers run stably. (Minecraft Vanilla is played without plugins / mods with max 4 people) (on the Ts3 server there are max 10 people - SinusBot is also used)

Wv cores do you need? 2,3,4,5,6,8 or 10?

Wv Ram do you need? 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 or 10?

At Minecraft I once heard that a core is enough (Java edition) because the game does not support a multi-core processor. RAM should be at min. 3 GB. With Ts3 is Teamspeak meant? Such a program shouldn't need much. #

A normal 4-core processor is sufficient. (Only a few programs run on more cores, since very few people have a 6+ core processor. And the RAM should be 6-8 GB. (You have to estimate how expensive the whole thing can be)

hope I could help

All right, thanks for the help!

Ts3 = consumption of resources is really minimal

Sinusbot = is like a TS3 client (or 2, depends on the amount of bots)

MC = consumption is higher and would take a little more RAM for it, with mc it says "there's no too much RAM" & since mc can only use one core with the older versions, I would take a CPU with a high GHz… Otherwise it can I identify with fubar1871…

Many cores are not important.

With a small server for 4 you don't need a dedicated server either.

The hetzner Cloud Server Pralen not with high numbers but with extremely good performance.

Therefore, 2 cores with 8GB RAM are around 10 euro / m

That is enough for your project.

I think my answer will be a little different;)

Generally MC is a single core application. So getting a server with lots of cores is a waste of money.

Therefore, I would recommend that you look for a provider that offers high single-core performance with its servers. Root server only means that you get root access. Some providers define this as dedicated or virtualized.

I would simply recommend a virtual server, as it is easy to scale and I think is completely sufficient.

You can neglect Teamspeak, it works without any real resource consumption.

Ergo 2 vCores with 4 GB Ram will probably be enough. You can get that for as little as 4 euro a month. I would be happy to recommend providers who promise high single-core performance even with their V-servers.
