Yes the leeds are unlimited. A seeds are quasi the world data means if you enter the number 1 then you get the world with the number 1 and that increases. And the list with the best seeds are, as far as I know, the best worlds for survival fashion (i.e. With village, ruined portal, etc. In the vicinity)
A seed is simply a number from 0 to 281474976710655.
So there are 281474976710656 seeds. You can forget to try them all.
