I had already asked in an older question if I should make my fan quieter, because it was already unbearable. All votes meant that I should make it quieter, but after so 1 hour when I play Minecraft example, the GPU is already 85C hot. Before that, it was between 65-70, can I continue to use it without problems, or should not I change it? So what I actually konkrekt ask if it is harmful for my PC to make it manually quieter. I'm happy about any help.
Well as long as it does not get too hot, it will hurt the components less
If I were you, I would still turn the fan up again
You can decide
1. Do you buy a fan that has the same performance and is quiet?
2. You leave the fan as it is and the lifetime is shortened
3. Do you put the fan back in the way it was before and have a better game experience and a longer lifetime
I hope that you also know that it starts to jerk when it gets hot enough
The cooler the GPU stays, the longer it lives. If your graphics card is exchanged in 2 years and then sold, then you can leave it that way, but if you plan to excise the map, as far as the lifetime is concerned, then a longer lifetime by significantly lower temperatures would make sense. You can also consider that you sell the graphics card and buy a little more expensive for more money, which then has a better cooler or even lower power consumption!
If the card is older, then I would also replace the thermal grease and replace it with new ones and clean the heatsink
If you make it quieter with Speedfan you risk breaking something that does not tolerate the temperatures or as my brother where the fan is just melted or scratched around.
