Only the Bedrock Edition (Windows 10 Edition) is available in the Microsoft Store.

On the MC side there's also the Java edition.

Not really, ends up in the same box, but if you can choose I would still prefer the website

It depends… If the customer wants to buy the Bedrock Edition (Windows 10 Edition), then you are right.

But there's also the old Java edition, which can only be bought on the website.
