I have a computer and I have Minecraft Java Edition. My brother has a Ps4 and is considering buying Minecraft. Would it be possible now that if I get the Minecraft Windows 10 edition and he gets Minecraft for the Ps4, that we can then play together?
So Windows 10 Edition and Ps4 Edition?
I heard that from a couple of friends.
No only with xbox
And switch? Or?
Ne is from Nintendo and not from Microsoft
Yes should then be possible. If you have purchased the Java Edition, you can get the Windows 10 Edition free of charge on PC, for which there are enough tutorials on YouTube. If you both have the game then you only have to create a Microsoft account for everyone, because Minecraft is part of Microsoft, you have to add each other as friends and your brother would still have to activate Crossplay in the Minecraft settings if it is not already activated is.
Ok thank you hope you and not IchBimsDerMichi is right.
If you have no idea just don't answer. The Bedrock Update allows crossplay on all platforms.
SeliBrot6058478 is so far right. You just need to make sure that you bought the Minecraft Java Edition BEFORE October 18, 2018. Otherwise you can't download the Windows 10 Edition for free.
Yes… I'm out of luck
