Minecraft Moving On Mac?

I got minecraft java edition 2 years ago by voucher and made on my computer which is unfortunately broken and is no longer on now I have a mac book air does anyone know how I get the game on my laptop without buying it again?

Yes, I've already tried three times but it always comes the same error message:

Unable to start Minecraft if you are running for a dmg Please drag to applications and try again

Did you install java as well?

I have to disappoint you: Mac Book Air can sometimes be weaker than your computer.

Otherwise Virtualbox with Windows would be an alternative option.
