No, the Bedrock Edition you are talking about is no longer free, even if it is in the main menu of the Xbox One Edition (yes there are 2 Minecraft games on the Xbox One console, the Xbox One Edition and the Bedrock Edition, which is simply called Minecraft in the title.)

The free changeover ended in 2018 or 2019, I'm not sure when it was, but it IS definitely not available for free. But have a look at key resellers. On Ebay or Instant Gaming you get keys (voucher codes) very cheap, especially for Minecraft. Here is a current screenshot of Instant Gaming at Minecraft Bedrock for the One:
