Animals disappear in Minecraft?

I'm playing Minecraft on the 1.13.0.1 (Bedrock version). And I built a farm with a barn and lured animals in, but whenever I'm about 200 blocks away, the animals disappear, is that a bug? What can I do against it?

Rather start with nametag, just rename it on an anvil and right-click on it
