If I want to play older Minecraft versions (1.8.9 and 1.12.2), I always get an exit code 0. However, no error log is generated, what can I do about it?
I have already reset the .minecraft folder.
1. Format folder 2. Versio off. Delete Minecraft and reinstall and you also have an error message because you have to google it
As I said: I removed the .minecraft folder, thereby also removing the installation (they are also in the .minecraft folder) and I have no error log, which should normally come with exit code 0.
One should actually be able to understand based on the question.
Formatting does not fix such an error at all. In addition, you can't format individual folders.
"Exit Code: 0" means "Successfully executed". There should actually be a different code there.
To find out the correct exit code, go to Settings in the launcher and check the Open output log when Minecraft: Java Edition starts.
If the "Minecraft game output" window opens when you start, remove the checkmark from info. There should be an exit code (marked in red).
