Minecraft is lying when the window is open?

When I play minecraft (multiplayer) and open a window (google, whattsapp,.) Minecraft is totally lagged, but when I have no windows open I play very smoothly. Can I fix that somehow? Play the java version

The only thing you could do would be to buy additional RAM.
