Minecraft without Java on Windows 10?

I recently read that Java will no longer exist soon because the new browsers no longer require Java. The problem is Minecraft Java only works for the Java edition. I don't want to buy the Windows 10 version because I find it pointless to spend more money on it. I know that there's an alternative for Java (of which I didn't remember the name) but I have no idea whether Minecraft runs with it or not because of course it was not discussed. I would be happy if someone knows and no I can't use the free version of Minecraft for Windows 10.

I haven't heard anywhere that Minecraft Java will no longer existโ€ฆ Only that you will need a (free) Microsoft account in the future.

I recently read that Java will no longer exist soon because the new browsers no longer require Java

Then maybe read the article again.

Java has never been required by the standard browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer) - earlier versions could run Java applets, but that is long gone

Java won't go away. There are millions of software written in Java & the JDK will always be there somewhere

The problem is Minecraft Java only works for the Java edition. I don't want to buy the Windows 10 version because I find it pointless to spend more money on it.

I don't know if it's still possible now, at the beginning you got the Windows 10 version for free if you have the Java version

I know that there's an alternative for Java (of which I didn't remember the name) but I have no idea whether Minecraft runs with it or not because of course it was not discussed.

You mean OpenJDK? Yes, Minecraft works with it too

Minecraft Java version also comes with a Java version, in theory you don't even have to download anything

That Java will no longer exist soon because the new browsers no longer required Java

You have to distinguish between two different "Java" s:

Java applets in the browser
"Normal" Java programs like Minecraft

The article you have read probably refers to the former. The "normal" Java (ie JRE / JDK for desktop PCs) still exists. The former is hardly used any more and is irrelevant for 95% of people.

Uh sorry, that wasn't Java, that was the Flash Player that receives a last update ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…and then it goes into retirement. Here is the link;

It's good that I already have a Microsoft account.
