I have a minecraft plugin installed and have noticed that it is a zip file. So this file does not become a folder. What can I do with the zip file?
Installed plugin: https://www.spigotmc.org/...red.61565/.
You can unzip it with winrar, for example. Then it's a folder. No idea how it is with addons but for example with resource packs the whole thing has to be packed into the folder, so check it out if you have to unpack it at all.
To make a folder out of a .zip you have to unzip the zip folder. You do this by right-clicking on the zip-folder and then go to "Extract all…". After that you will get an ordinary folder.
Hope I could help.
Unzip the zip.
If there's a readme.txt in it, look for installation instructions.
Otherwise in the Zip search for the folder where the plugin's .jar is in it.
Copy the entire contents of the folder into the plugin folder of the server and restart the server once.
PS: Only this one plugin alone is pretty pointless. You also need the main plugin "PlotSquared".
I have plotsquared yes
