I put a Minecraft plugin on the internet.
Now I would be interested in some data (How many percent use which Mc Version / Java Version / Plugin Version / Server software use)
Is it okay with data protection if I simply send the data to bStats.org?
It looks like it is not sent which server is which now.
In any case, I can't see anything about it there.
You can of course switch off the sending of the data in the plugin.
So? Can I simply integrate this into my plugin and be fine?
Or do I have to do some stuff for that? (Then I'd rather leave it).
I just know that many plugins do this. And in itself that's not a problem because none of this is personal. But what that looks like under German law… I don't know.
Many well-known plugins use all the functions of the bStats, so I think if it were illegal then that would already be known.
