Why does the Minecraft server Hypixel need user data when buying rank?

I wanted to buy a rank on Hypixel today, and then I clicked through to a point where the website wanted all of my data… Like address, name, and email. But I didn't really want to give all my correct data because I don't necessarily want my address etc. To be found on the Internet. So now my question: why do they all need this data? Where I live doesn't have to be of interest and what if I enter this data incorrectly and, for example, only the email is correct? Would that affect that I get the rank at all? Or maybe they send a package with data like a license key in it?

Pa

Because you are entering into a sales contract and are therefore obliged to record your data.

Ti

They need the data for a sales contract. It doesn't continue.

Uk

And what if I simply enter the wrong data? Could that have any negative consequences?

Pa

Yes, the police storm your booth and they lock you up.

Uk

OK…

Uk

Haha how funny😂🤦♂️🥴

Me

This is a normal purchase contract.

If you buy something else online you have to enter your address etc.

Don't worry, the data will remain secret… Or Hypixel may not publish it.

Uk

Ok I'll have a look, maybe I'll just give the dates…

but what if I didn't provide the data? Could it be that I do not get the rank or take the rank back if you notice that I'm wrong with the data? Because I don't feel like losing money

Bi

No I also bought an actual address and so no matter e-mail I would indicate for the confirmation that something should go wrong you can prove it that you bought it

Bi

So full name does not matter, I would give e-mail for the purchase confirmation (to be on the safe side, errors should occur) Addressline do not matter, city do not matter, zipcode do not matter, state region / coutry (Germany / Germany) (I also bought a rank, so I know that and it's still been there six months ago

Me

I do not know that. Of course, if they check that you are losing the money. And then it's your own fault. So what speaks against giving the data? Sure, it's a bit strange, but it's a normal sales contract, and that's the standard there. Even if it's a Minecraft rank.
Nobody can and must pull a rope out of it. You are e.g. No celebrity that could go wrong… Just one in a hundred million as they say…
