Minecraft Nether? - 3

I have recently the problem that I just die in the Netger I was just in a Weld where I was full slide and already had a bit of netherrite scrap then I went to the nether and looked and then I built myself up and did I got damaged once and I just started to burn and then 10 seconds later I got damage again and I was dead with 2 hits even though I was wearing full slide armor and everything is gone I hope someone can explain why that is

Maybe a hoglin hit you, they'll do a lot of damage that you probably didn't see
