I have been playing Minecraft for almost 7 years and I know everything you need to know and more. I can survive well, play mini-games and more. I like to build… Just not nice, I can't even build real roofs, it's too terrible. How can I change this?
Practice does not do anything else. I learned it myself and am now in 2 construction teams and run my own small one where we sometimes train people.
Otherwise, watch tutorials or find the style of architecture that suits you.
For example, I know the Greek / Roman architecture well, but I can't build a castle for it and so on.
So keep practicing! Then it would be something!
Build more and watch others do it. Believe me, that comes by itself. It is not that hard. Heads up
You probably make the following mistake:
You first build a large block and then a pyramid on top of it. You call the whole thing "house"… It's not nice. Possibly everything from the same "noob wood".
A few tips from me:
Choose a style of construction that you will keep the entire construction project (half-timbering, Kunterbunt villa, sterile new quartz building, etc.)
Build with 3-5 matching basic materials that fit together easily
First build thicker corner pillars and then use another material to draw walls in between.
Let the false ceilings protrude a little and build columns or railings on them.
Use a different material for the walls on the lowest floor than for the higher ones.
Don't leave it at the foundations. Bring structure in. Make trap doors as shutters. Give the door a small stem.
Start smaller and add something later
Work patterns into the walls
Don't forget the window (!)
Don't make the roof bigger than the house
Don't make the floor plan square.
Use slabs and steps for slopes wherever possible (especially on the roof).
Crafting tables, crate storage etc. Belong in the basement!
Decorate the environment with a beautiful garden. Connect several houses with one path
Lay a nice pattern as the bottom
Furnish the rooms
Rejoice that you built it freehand, which is the case with the fewest luxury villas.
For quartz: use the column variant for the contours.
Add a variant of colored terracotta to the basic materials.
Beacons, ore blocks, mob spawners, dragon eggs, end portal frames etc. Are not for building (!) Use them - if at all - only very sparingly.
Avoid larger solid areas
Don't put too many different blocks in a heap to look "professional" - it's often too much of a good thing.
What also helps: Limit the construction area to 10x10 and try to make it the best and most beautiful. If you get practice, build bigger.
