Minecraft lied despite good PC - other games we ARK or similar. Not?

I own a laptop. I play several games like ARK or similar. As well as minecraft. Unfortunately, it is very strong. The CPU is used to about 40% but sometimes jumps up to 80% and the GPU is 30% on average. I have already tried many things… Java started with the GPU, etc. But unfortunately, nothing works. Hence my question what I can do.

CPU: i5 7300 HQ

GPU: GTX 1060

The fact that Ark is very hungry for performance makes me think…
But everything can be very good! Is it by chance a laptop?

Sorry somehow the description was not sent. Updated

Know the problem. You've already tried to assign the high performance graphics card (as it's called there) to Java, set it to default for everything.

Is not the fine English style but the only really helpful one for Minecraft.
My laptop does not switch on Minecraft and never uses the dedicated card.

Mi

I have assigned the Java.exe to the high performance graphics card but unfortunately there's no difference.

Be

As I said, you should assign it for everything, so standard for everything.
If I were on my laptop I would show you a screenshot, but I'm not at the moment.

Mi

I did that. Unfortunately, it still bogs down to 40fps. Moreover, it is not over 60fps. Or I wrongly assigned Java. You can send a scrennshot later.

Be

The delayed feedback I'm sorry, had forgotten that on my laptop currently only Linux was installed so I had to swap the hard drive and another hard drive with Windows installed.

Here at least the screenshot.
You just go into the global setting and say that the Nvidia high performance processor should be preferred. Then Minecraft takes this attitude.

Mi

Thank you for doing the work and helping me. Have tried it but unfortunately not much has changed. Now I have reinstalled Minecraft and Java as well. After that, it has settled at about 45-55 fps. Then I have the vertical sync made out so I now at the 120 fps maximum (is set) and minimum 45 fps but it is at an average of 100fps. Unfortunately, it still seems very strange to me. Why does that have to be programmed with Java? Mega stupid… All other games run optimally. Will install Optifine if necessary.

Be

It seems strange to me too, especially since VSync now has more FPS. With any key you could open in Minecraft the ads how many frames you have etc. There's synonymous with which graphics card is used.

Mi

Yes with F3 you can see that. There's also the Nvidia GeForce card displayed. RAM is also 4gb. I'm not getting any smarter, but I'll try everything again.

Be

4GB Ram, however, are a little bit. Only as I said it surprised me Ark is running and Minecraft jerky.

Mi

Yes, other games like The Forest or Battlefield 1. The run without problems

I got it. V-sync turned on again, Java reinstalled. Then it was also found directly in the Nvidia settings. With Optifine, I now have around 800fps. Funny that it suddenly works.
