I play vanilla minecraft with my friend. We have a Nitrado server with 3GB RAM. This is almost always used to + 95%. Is this normal and should I upgrade to 4GB? So far we haven't built anything (Redstone etc)
Actually that's really strange. In normal conditions that should be enough.
I thought so too. Even a restart does not change anything. Well, we probably ran 1000 blocks, but that shouldn't cause such a load. The server won't need any time to load the world / "warm up"
Nene running away from the spawn and becoming more laggy is only the case with bedrock.
3GB should be sufficient in normal operation, provided there are not too many players online and especially if nothing has been built yet. In the long term, I recommend an upgrade, but that should be enough at the moment.
On the other hand, Nitrado is not known for having high-performance systems. If in doubt, just contact the support there, they often move the server to a less busy system, which could help.
Yes, there's currently no player on it, i.e. It is idle, and consumes 85%. I'll see if it works, otherwise I'll contact the support.
Bedrock wasn't Java was it?
No. Bedrock> Microsoft / Java> was once from Mojang
Can you maybe send a screenshot? Or a section? You can find a certain section by entering Snippingtool in the Windows search. As soon as the program opens, simply click on new and mark the section
I'm not at the PC right now, but took a screenshot on my phone. Should be in the question.
Not yet
So I use the standard server with 3GB RAM on Pebblehost and can easily run the server with 6 players. Paper server with Multiverse (4 Maps), Worldedit, Luckyperms, OneDriveBackup. Is started every night. Maps are only explored sporadically, currently takes up 2.5GB of disk space, RAM is under 2GB in idle.
Ok I had to hold down on the picture…
And you can get a PC within 30 minutes for 9 euro? In my new apartment I will also get a server but this is bad…
Is it lagging when playing?
Well, that can't really be normal… I will probably have to write to support
No not that. The question is how often and how long you need it.
But do you get a comparable processor (Ryzen 5 3400G), 32GB Ram and with SSD at Nitrado. And now keep it for 1-2 years because you host several different games in a row.
Of course, my PC cost a lot to fulfill this purpose, but the longer mine is here and the more often I use it, even for 2 or 3 games at the same time, the more it is worth it.
Not really. So far everything is responding well.
So then everything is actually fine. Ask nitrado about XD as soon as the server crashes but now no fun just keep playing and enter / tps to see how the server is running. If there are 20 or more everywhere, everything is OK under 17 then ask nitrado for help
You know if you want even better performance just load papermc af the server and play without plugins.
Alright, thank you very much!
But I don't play the Sever for more than 1-2 months. Then the "server" is unused in the corner for the next year.
