I have a question how it looks with the imprint obligation if you run an exclusive homepage for Minecraft without something to sell etc so I can almost by HTML only display the IP from the server
Do not think otherwise, can be warned
You are obliged to create an imprint with correctly stored data. Information on the imprint obligation can also be found on https://www.e-recht24.de/impressum-generator.html as justification:
Only a private blog (about you or your family) which is purely private, would be exempt.
But since you operate a public server (make available) and accordingly present a website you are next to an imprint, DSGVO and a privacy policy on your side committed. Especially when advertising is involved.
Unfortunately, there are companies (which do not even have to be serious), the lawyers on it warn off site operators, where no imprint is present (incomplete) and that can sometimes just be warned with up to 3,000 euro.
I myself had that back in 2010 with my own community and had to get legal support and was lucky that I came around it.
Very informative
