I've created a Minecraft server (not normally Nitrado or something)
and I want to change the version because I can only play on 1.14.2, but would like
play on the 1.8 to 1.14.2.
How the hell am I doing this?
Surely you have a Minecraft.jar in there, that determines the version. It may be that you have to reset it, you can pack the world back in
You have to leave the server of version 1.8 and you have to install the plugin 'ViaVersion'.
Thanks, I'll check it out
Then tell me if it has brought something
Oh does not seem (have Mac OS X Apple)
Yes, ok, I recognize the problem.
You should get a Windows PC
What you intend to do only works with plugins. Your server is Vanilla, it does not work.
I know, I also have the plugin ViaVersion installed, I just do not know how to use it on Mac OS X.
What do you mean with you have to leave the server version 1.8?
I have installed ViaVersion, but I do not know how to use it.
So I can't find Minecraft.jar
Yes, because then ViaVersion makes the Servee from 1.8 - 1.14.x available.
Is not with me so I have the ViaVersion.jar (or something similar name) done in the folder mods, right?
No, that's not right, you need a spigot, bukkit server, and there you have to plug the plugin into the plugins folder
And how do I get one?
You need to download the Jar file Spigot or Bukkit from getbukkit.org and use it to make a server, if you do not know how to do it look at a Viedeo on YT.
Is the server free?
Yes, this server is free, but if you want to have a server from a hoster, I would recommend mc-host24.de.
Danke!
No problem, please help.
