I installed a Minecraft server on my PC.

The following output comes:

[…]

[14:24:51] [Server thread / INFO]: Time elapsed: 107766 ms

[14:24:51] [Server thread / INFO]: Done (154.851s)! For help, type "help"

Then comes this error message:

[14:24:55] [Server thread / WARN]: Can't keep up! Is the server overloaded? Running 2224ms or 44 ticks behind

[14:29:59] [Server thread / WARN]: Can't keep up! Is the server overloaded? Running 5641ms or 112 ticks behind

Can someone tell me what exactly this field report means and how I can eliminate it.

ky

Your server probably has too little RAM (RAM) because it can't keep up with the calculation.

Pa

This message only means that the server is overloaded and how many milliseconds it runs "behind" you can fix it by allocating more RAM or more CPU cores to the server.

Bo

How much do I need?

Pa

It depends on how many plugins and how many players you have on your server

Sh

If you already have a lot of RAM you just have to assign more to the server here

Bo

We only want to play in pairs. And what do you do with plugins?

Pa

So for two, 1 Gb should be enough, but… Which version do you use on your server? Vanilla, paper or spigot. But don't you know what plugins are?

Bo

OK thanks. I'm not sure which version I have. I downloaded it here: https://www.chip.de/...86108.html

And I only know that plugins are program extensions. But unfortunately I have no idea about this.
